Implantology
Crown implants, bridges and dentures
No other method replaces a missing tooth so naturally and highly-aesthetic than implants. Additionally, they offer the advantage that healthy adjacent teeth are preserved and allow dentures to fit firmly and stable.
Dental implants are artificial teeth roots that are anchored into the jawbone to hold crowns or dentures in place. They offer an optimum solution for closing up teeth gaps and stabilize removable or permanent dentures.
Dental implants are usually fitted under local anaesthesia and thus without pain. An appropriate a healing time of approximately four to six months is necessary for the bone to heal. During the healing process an interim solution to make chewing and speaking possible is provided.
Each implantation is an individual case, which must be planned and prepared carefully. Not all patients and not all jaws are suitable for implants. The jaw bones may require further development if the existing bone mass is not sufficient to perform an implantation.
